Broker Shipper Agreement Template

The United Fresh Produce Association announces the release of the Broker/Shipper Transportation Agreement model. The model was developed by members of the United Fresh Supply Chain Logistics Council in collaboration with the Association of Transportation Intermediaries (TIA) and is designed for member use when introducing the specific business relationship between shipping companies and external transportation providers. “This brokerage-shipper contract is the first of its kind to serve the production industry,” said Ken Lund, Vice President, Support Operations, Allen Lund Company, Inc., “This model will save association members who use it for many hours. It was compiled by experts who worked hard to produce a fair document that would allow the parties to do more together. I am very proud of the United Fresh Produce Association as it continues to provide affiliate instruments to help them be more efficient and profitable. The Broker/Shipper Transportation Agreement is a free resource for United Fresh members and can be downloaded to www.unitedfresh.org/resources. For more information or questions, please contact Dan Vaché, Vice President, Supply Chain Management and Contact with United Fresh Supply Chain Logistics Council employees at l`[email protected] or 425.629.6271. “Right now, transportation contracts are a necessity,” said James Lee, Vice President, Legal Affairs, Chop Tank Transport. “Given that the products are tax-exempt and the transportation of products is not regulated per se, the importance of merging the United Fresh Produce Association and the United Fresh Produce Association and the TIA to create a fair and ethical standard contract, which can be used by both shippers and logistics suppliers, cannot be sufficiently emphasized. I am proud to be a small part of the members of both organizations who have contributed to their time, energy and expertise. »
