This time we make an effort to defend remixes, not only for electronica fans but what creative remix artists are capable of doing to an already great song – Even if it’s indie, rock or folk. We showcase remixes by The Avalanches, Four Tet, UNKLE, among others. We believe remixes and reconstructions are an art form on its own and try to convince the non-believers. However, we start off by discussing Tidal and what implication it has on indie artists.

We also make sure to recommend some great new acts, including an Elliott Smith cover band. While playing some tracks we also dive into the drug culture in London in 2007, thanks to the DJ duo Soulwax, and their alter ego 2ManyDJs. Here’s the video we’re talking about by the way.

Most of the track played are added to our Spotify list. You can always email us comments and letters you want to be read on the show. A full track list will be added to this post later this week, since we don’t want to spoil the fun just yet. By the way, we’re now on Stitcher, which is a curated podcast app.

Hey! This podcast is one of the best things I’ve found this week. Keep up the great work! And I’m totally rooting for this podcast becoming a weekly thing, if possible. But you’re off to an awesome start. (Ps. Greetings from Finland)
